PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a phosphoric ester of a saccharide or a saccharide derivative which is simple and new as compared with conventional methods. SOLUTION: The method for producing the phosphoric ester of the saccharide or saccharide derivative comprises reacting the saccharide or saccharide derivative with a phosphoric acid donor in the presence of an acidic phosphatase. In the method, the saccharide or saccharide derivative is a compound having a primary hydroxy group and the phosphoric acid donor is polyphosphoric acid or a salt thereof.
