<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise an added value of the ashes generated in combustion of biomass such as trees, bamboo and grass by adjusting the composition thereof, while utilizing combustion gases as a heat source, and further to effectively utilize organic matters belonging to the original biomass in a live state, together with the ashes. <P>SOLUTION: Raw biomass such as trees, bamboo and grass, and leaves and seaweed are ground or pelletized, dried and then burned. The generated combustion gases are subjected to adjustment of O<SB>2</SB>%, the ratio of (CO% by volume+H<SB>2</SB>% by volume)/(CO<SB>2</SB>% by volume) or the like, and further the composition of ashes is adjusted by screening the ashes using water or airflow. Part of biomass is treated with water before heating to extract organic components. Thus obtained ashes and extracts are combined and molded to manufacture animal feed, a water quality improving material, a soil modification material and the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
