PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmacological composition for treatment of hypocholesterolemia by suppressing biosynthesis of cholesterol. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the pharmacological composition for treatment of hypercholesterolemia comprising an effective amount for reducing blood cholesterol level of a hemimagnesium salt or N-methylglucamine salt of [R-(R<SP>*</SP>,R<SP>*</SP>)]-2-(4-fluorophenyl)-β,δ-dihydroxy-5-(1-methylethyl)-3-phenyl-4-[(phenylamino) carbonyl]-1H-pyrrole-1-heptanoic acid and a pharmacologically acceptable carrier.
