METHOD FOR SURFACE POLARIZATION OF HYDROPHOBIC RESIN PARTICULATE

Provided is a method for polarizing the surface of a hydrophobic resin fine particle by introducing various polar groups on the surface of a hydrophobic resin particle. The method comprises the steps of injecting a hydrophobic resin fine particle having an unsaturated bond into a solution where ozone is dissolved in a polar solvent to treat it with ozone; adding an oxidizing agent to the solution to obtain a resin fine particle where a carboxylic group is introduced; and reacting the resin fine particle with a polar compound. Preferably the concentration of ozone in the solution is 50-500 ppm, the ozone treatment is carried out for 30-300 min at a temperature of 15-35 deg.C.
