A display device and an electronic apparatus having the display device are provided to make it possible to detect a display defect of the display device through potential relation of gate lines and data lines even after a lower substrate and an upper substrate are bonded, by using a test circuit formed on the lower substrate. A plurality of pixels(109) are formed by crossing gate lines(107) and data lines(108). The pixels are driven by potentials of the gate lines and the data lines. A first wire(117) is formed in parallel with the gate lines. A second wire(118) is formed in parallel with the data lines. A test circuit(106) is connected to the first wire and the second wire. The test circuit forms a signal for distinguishing defects of the pixels by using potentials of the first wire and the second wire.
