A TELEMETERING SYSTEM OF WATER GUAGE BASED ON COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK

A remote meter reading system using the mobile communication network of a water meter is provided to save the cost of labor and to secure measurement accuracy by comparing an ID(Identification) value of the water meter and meter read data and then judging a meter reading value of the corresponding water meter. A remote meter reading system using the mobile communication network(500) of a water meter for reading numbers displayed on a board of the water meter is composed of a meter reading unit(100) obtaining data generated by converting meter reading data into the set data, and an ID value of the water meter and then transmitting the data and the ID value of the water meter to a mobile communication service company; a central processing server(200) receiving and storing the data transmitted through the meter reading unit and transmitting each meter read data and ID value of the water meter to the water service department; and a use amount calculating server(300) storing the meter read data and the ID value of the water meter transmitted from the central processing server and computing the use amount of the correspondent water meter by comparing the ID value of the water meter registered in advance and the transmitted ID value of the water meter.
