<p>A display device and a display unit are provided to improve visual angle characteristics without degrading external light contrast. A display device comprises a first electrode(15), an organic layer(18) including an emission layer(18C) and a second electrode(19) sequentially on a substrate(11). A resonator structure resonates a light generated in the emission layer between a first end and a second end. An end plane of the emission layer of the first electrode is the first end having step shape. A distance adjustment layer(17) fills the step shape and has a flat surface on the second electrode, between the first electrode and the second electrode. The second end becomes flat, and optical distance between the first end and the second end varies according to the step shape.</p> |
