METHOD FOR DESULFURIZATION OF HOT METAL

A method for desulfurization of hot metal, which solves limitation of facilities generated in conventional desulfurization, desulfurizes hot metal efficiently and can prevent resulfurizing during converter refining by utilizing a converter that is an existing facility, is provided. A method for desulfurization of hot metal comprises: a step(S10) of charging hot metal into a converter; a step(S20) of injecting a desulfurizer into the converter; and a step(S30) of blowing nitrogen(N2) gas into the converter to desulfurize the hot metal, wherein the desulfurizer is injected into the converter in an amount of 6 to 19 kg/ton. The method further comprises a step of removing desulfurized slag existing in an upper part of the hot metal after the step of desulfurizing the hot metal. The step of removing desulfurized slag comprises: a step(S40) of discharging the hot metal into a ladle through a tapping hole of the converter; and a step(S50) of discharging desulfurized slag remained in the converter.
