A method for automatically storing location information, a mobile terminal using the same, and a system thereby are provided to transmit all location information to a server at a time after automatically storing location information on a mobile terminal, so that a location based service can be provided, without increasing load of the server, in case tracking for a user's location is required or conversion into a specific environment occurs. An automatic location storage system using a mobile terminal(110) comprises a positioning determination entity(160). The mobile terminal(110) automatically acquires location information during a preset location information storage time, accumulatively stores it, and transmits the accumulated and stored location information. The positioning determination entity(160) calculates longitudinal and latitudinal coordinates of the mobile terminal(110) by using the location information transmitted from the mobile terminal(110), and provides a location based service to the mobile terminal(110), based on the received or calculated location information.
