A height adjustable knob for a vehicle is provided to achieve improved user convenience and reduce injury of a user upon occurrence of a vehicle crash by allowing the height of a knob to be adjustable. A height adjustable knob for a vehicle includes a sensor(10), a controller(11), a driving motor(12), a height adjusting unit(14), a knob(15), a locking pin(16), and a movable contact(17) and a fixed contact(18). The sensor senses touch of a user. The controller controls the signal of the sensor. The driving motor operates according to the signal output from the controller. The height adjusting unit is elevated by the operation of the driving motor. The knob operates together with the height adjusting unit. The locking pin prevents the height adjusting unit from rotating by itself. The movable contact and the fixed contact limit elevation of the knob when the height adjusting unit and the knob are elevated and contact each other.
