COMPOSITION FOR INJECTION CONTAINING FLORFENICOL

A composition for injection containing florfenicol is provided to reduce viscosity and improve storage stability by inhibiting precipitation of florfenicol while the composition contains high concentration of florfenicol. The composition for injection contains 20-40 wt.% of florfenicol, 40-70 wt.% of dimethylsulfoxide, 2-20 wt.% of propyleneglycol and 5-30 wt.% of water, further contains 0.5-5 wt.% of benzyl alcohol, and has viscosity of 1-10 cP, wherein the florfenicol is an antimicrobial agent for animal and has low solubility to water and pharmaceutically acceptable organic solvents including 1,2-propandiol, glycerin and benzyl alcohol.
