The unit has a displacement unit (4) for displacing parts inside treating zones (3) and a part transfer unit (7) formed of endless transmission units e.g. chains and cables, acting directly on the parts and their supports (1) e.g. suspended tray conveyor. The transmission units are independent from one zone to another zone, operate in synchronous manner and present, in the horizontal treating zones, a spacing pitch of the parts or their supports lower than the spacing pitch of the parts or their support in the vertical treating zones. An independent claim is also included for an assembly of endless transmission units such as chain, belt, cable and band.
