PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of achieving energy saving and low-temperature fixing, excellent in hot offset resistance and capable of providing a high-quality image. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 comprises: at least image carriers 40 which bear latent images; developing means 4 to develop the latent images with toners; transfer means 62, 22 to transfer toner images on surfaces of the image carriers 40; and a fixing means 25 to fix the toner images by applying heat and pressure, wherein the toners each contain a binder resin containing at least a crystalline polyester resin and an amorphous resin and a colorant, and the fixing means 25 has an electromagnetic wave generating means 254 and an electromagnetic induction heating element 253 which generates heat when a magnetic field generated from the electromagnetic wave generating means 254 is applied, the electromagnetic induction heating element 253 containing a magnetic compensating alloy in a surface or interior portion thereof.
