PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion control device for an engine capable of reducing heat loss. SOLUTION: A magnetic field generating means 22 is provided around a cylinder 16. The magnetic field generating means 22 is energized to generate a magnetic field within the cylinder 16 in the direction of the axial lineαof the cylinder. The energization of the magnetic field generating means 22 is controlled by an energization control means in order to set flames apart from the wall surface of the cylinder 16.
