<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a different alarm according to whether one's own vehicle deviates to a direction wherein a lane is present, or deviates to a direction wherein no lane is present. <P>SOLUTION: A lane detection device 2 sets a plurality of lane detection areas to a bird's-eye image generated from a road surface image imaged by a camera 4, and detects a travel lane and presence/absence of the lanes on both outer sides of the travel lane on the basis of a luminance profile calculated in each the lane detection area. A lane deviation alarm device 1 decides decides whether or not the own vehicle has a deviation tendency to one side of an adjacent side not having the lane and an adjacent side having the lane from the travel lane on the basis of lane detection information obtained by the lane detection device 2 and lateral moving velocity information detected by a lateral moving velocity detection part 12, and performs the different alarm according to whether the own vehicle deviates to the direction wherein the lane is present, or deviates to the direction wherein no lane is present. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
