<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide equipment and a method for controlling a color tone of a pattern for a printing machine which enable high-accuracy control of the color tone even in the case when different kinds of screening are used in combination for printing. <P>SOLUTION: A printing characteristic information acquiring means which acquires the printing characteristic information on the printing machine that corresponds to each kind of screening to be used for making a plate of the printing pattern, a screening information acquiring means 18B which acquires the kind of screening to be used for each area of the printing pattern, making it correspond to the individual area, a noticed pixel area setting means 18A which sets a specified pixel area in the printing pattern as a noticed pixel area for every ink supply zone of the printing machine, and an ink supply control means 20 which controls the supply of ink on the basis of the printing characteristic information corresponding to the kind of screening of the noticed pixel area, are provided for this constitution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
