<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optical equipment capable of improving detection accuracy by a relatively simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: Light projecting and receiving units 21, 22, 24, and 25, which are configured so as to project light onto a target detection face on the eyepiece side of a finder 2 and receive light reflected from the target detection face, are disposed in the vicinity of the finder 2. The light projecting optical path 23 and light receiving optical path 26 of the light projecting and receiving units are inclined so as to be asymptotic to a finder optical axis 8.
