PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic container capable of preventing accumulation of a cosmetic material, etc. between a container body and a cosmetic tray, allowing a user to securely detach the cosmetic container with small power, without reducing customers' eagerness to buy. SOLUTION: The cosmetic container includes the container body 1 with a cosmetic tray storage recess 3a formed on the upper face to store the cosmetic tray 4, and a lid 2 for covering the container body 1. A notched recess 23 is formed on one side wall of both side walls facing each other of the cosmetic tray storage recess 3a, and a flexible plate 24 is raised inside or near the notched recess 23 in a flexible manner inside the notched recess 23. An engagement recess 27a is formed on the other side wall of both side walls. A rear side collar part 29a to be mounted on the upper face of the flexible plate 24 projects from the part of the upper end edge of the cosmetic tray 4 corresponding to the one side wall, and a front side collar part 29b to be detachably engaged with the engagement recess 27a projects from the part of the cosmetic tray 4 corresponding to the engagement recess 27a.
