<p>A domain name system for providing a DNS service through an independent (own) DDNS server in a nonfixed IP address environment and enabling the DNS service to be used. A DDNS server (12) is installed in a network (10) of a center base, and routers (21, 31) serving as DDNS clients are installed in networks (20, 30) of each center base. The DDNS server (12) comprises means for registering the correspondence relationship between the domain names of the DDNS clients (21, 31) and the global addresses, means for responding the inquiry about name solution from a DDNS client, and means for notifying the DDNS client of DDNS server information including the global address when the global address of the DDNS server itself is changed. The DDNS client comprises means for registering (updating) the global address of the DDNS server on receiving the DDNS server information and means for inquiring the DDNS server about name solution.</p> |
