PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an urea concentration measuring method and system, capable of supplying a measured result as effective information for an urea removal amount during dialysis and the index of a dialysis dose, etc., by quickly measuring the concentration of urea contained in dialysis drainage. SOLUTION: The urea concentration measuring method and system are characterized in that the urea contained in the dialysis drainage and an oxidizing agent injected to the dialysis drainage are made to react, the change of the pressure of a gas (nitrogen, especially) generated by the reaction and/or the change of a temperature by heat generation caused by the reaction is detected, and the urea concentration in the dialysis drainage is obtained from the detected change.
