<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery with excellent preservation characteristics, in one using lithium manganate of a spinel structure as a cathode active material. <P>SOLUTION: In the lithium secondary battery provided with a cathode containing lithium manganate of a spinel structure as a cathode active material, an anode, nonaqueous electrolyte, a battery case for housing the cathode, the anode and the nonaqueous electrolyte, and a gasket for shutting off an inside and an outside of the battery case, the gasket is formed of polyether ether ketone or polyphenylene sulfide, on the surface of which a water-repellent made of silicon resin or asphalt pitch is coated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
