PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water proof connector aiming at improvement of a sealing property of a gap between a grommet and terminal housing member. SOLUTION: A gap between an inside periphery of the grommet 23 and an outside periphery of the terminal housing member 21 is sealed by making the grommet 23 tightly adhere to the outside periphery of the terminal housing member 21. In a state that a first connector 10 is fitted to a second connector 20, since pressing parts 13, 14 at inside periphery of a hood part 12 makes a cover 28 shift toward terminal housing member 21 side, and the grommet is deformed so as to be crushed, and elastic pressure of the grommet 23 to the terminal housing member 21 is increased, sealing property of the gap between the inside periphery of the grommet 23 and the outside periphery of the terminal housing member 21 is improved.
