<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display that reduces alignment failure of a black matrix and a color filter even when a plastic insulating substrate is used. <P>SOLUTION: The display includes: a first substrate comprising a first insulating substrate and thin film transistors fabricated on the first insulating substrate; a second substrate disposed opposing to the first substrate and comprising a second insulating substrate made of a plastic material and a black matrix fabricated on the second insulating substrate, having a plurality of lateral extensions extended in a first direction and a plurality of longitudinal extensions with irregular intervals extended in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction; and a liquid crystal layer placed between the first substrate and the second substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
