PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable prism which has a small size and can accurately control apex angle. SOLUTION: The fluid prism comprises: a bottomed cylindrical housing 1 having a light-transmissive bottom plate 10; a fluid 2 which is filled in the housing 1 and is light-transmissive; a transparent plate 4 which is swingably disposed on the surface of the fluid 2 in the housing 1 and is light-transmissive; and a flow velocity apply means 3 which makes the fluid 2 flow and changes liquid level of the fluid 2 partially.
