A cell culture container composed of two sheets (2, 3), at least one of the sheets is thermoformed. The sheets of the container a made from a polymer suitable for cell adhesion. The first sheet (2) is thermoformed to a generally-rectangular shape seen in cross section, with a flat base (4), a sidewall (5) and a peripheral edge wall (6). The second sheet is attached around the edge of the first. A passage (9) connects into the interior from a wall. One or more of the sheets has reliefs in the internal volume of the container. They form repetitive or irregular, continuous or discrete patterns. A system of containers interconnected by tubes passing liquid and/or cells is also described. |
