An improved crush control front section of a vehicle frame has the two longditudinal frame members (3) split into different branches at the rear end to spread the collision forces evenly onto and around the passenger cell. One branch (17) is curved onto the upright frame (13) and to the floor frame, while a second branch (19) leads to the floor frame (23). A third branch (37) leads to a cross member (41). The collision forces are thus accommodated evenly onto the floor frame.
