PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the lowering of the activity of a reforming catalyst and to maintain the activity of the reforming catalyst during the stop operation of the reformer.

SOLUTION: The reforming system 10 according to the present invention is provided with a first and a second reformers 11 and 12 which have each an inlet of a fuel gas and an outlet of a reformed gas, and with a second connecting gas flow passage 18 (or a first connecting gas flow passage 17) starting from the outlet of the first reformer 11 (or the second reformer 12) to the inlet of the second reformer 12 (or the first reformer 11).
