<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of sufficiently radiating heat while the thickness of the device is kept small. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes a liquid crystal panel 10 and a cold cathode tube 13 illuminating the panel. The cold cathode tube 13 has a side frame 15 on its side and a rear frame 11 in the rear side of the tube 13. Metal fins 2 are arranged with the protruding portions along the vertical direction as the major axes and laterally arranged and radiate the heat generating from the cold cathode tube 13. The fins 2 have installation holes 3 to fix a substrate 12. The distance of the installation holes 3 is set to a dimension standardized by a factory. One of the holes 3 functions as a grounding point and connects the ground of the substrate 12 to the rear frame 11 through the fins 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
