PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device having high flexibility in layout. SOLUTION: The electric power steering device comprises a first steering shaft 2, a second steering shaft 3 coupled to the first steering shaft 2 so as to relatively rotate, a torque sensor 10, a worm gear mechanism transmitting the power of an electric motor, and a housing 7 storing the torque sensor 10 and the worm gear mechanism. A worm wheel 15 of the worm gear mechanism includes an annular body 18, and an extending portion 19 extending aside from the body 18. The extending portion 19 is supported by the housing 7 by a first bearing 20. The first bearing 20 and the torque sensor 10 are disposed at positions superimposed in an axial direction S.
