PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear lighting system capable of being easily installed in a narrow place or inside a wall or ceiling, and capable of reducing the manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: A pair of frames 2 attached to both sides of a flexible component 1 having a mirror surface are fitted and fixed into an opening of a panel 10 constituting a wall surface. A hollow light transmission path is thereby formed by the flexible component 1, the transmission path having a slit between the frames 2 and having an inner surface that is a mirror surface. A translucent component 3 is attached to the slit portion and a batten 4 is further attached to the portion where the component 3 is attached. Then, a light source 5 is attached to open ends on both sides of the hollow light transmission path.
