PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate operation on a plumb bob. SOLUTION: The plumb bob 2 comprises a rigid bar 5 which can be set so as to project horizontally outside from a building block 1; a reel 6 which is supported by the bar 5; a suspended string 8, which can be wound and delivered by the reel 6 and can be dropped through the projecting edge side of the bar 5; a weight 9 which is attached to the lower end of the suspended string 8; and a positioning member 11, capable of positioning the bar 5 relative to a portion 10 of the building block 1 in the longitudinal direction of the bar 5.
