PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle detector used mainly for detecting a rotation angle of a steering of an automobile or the like, having no error, capable of detecting the rotation angle highly accurately. SOLUTION: A biasing means for pressing the first detection body 3 onto a rotator 1 is provided, and a stopper means for locking the biasing means is formed between the biasing means and a case 12, and thereby the outer circumference of a slide-contact part 1C of the rotator 1 is brought into elastic contact with the inner circumference of a through hole 12A of the case 12 by the biasing means. Consequently, since eccentricity of the rotator 1 caused by a gap between them can be prevented, and a biasing force of the biasing means can be kept constant by the stopper means, and abrasion between the slide-contact part 1C and the through hole 12A can be reduced, this rotation angle detector having no error, capable of preventing the eccentricity of the rotator 1, and detecting the rotation angle highly accurately can be acquired.
