PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus capable of applying proper inversion processing to image data, and to provide a program operating the same, an original reading apparatus, and an original reading system. SOLUTION: The original reading apparatus (10 or the like) in the original reading system is configured to output read direction information to the PC (information processing apparatus) 20. On the other hand, the PC 20 applies the inversion processing to image data on a second side (rear side) on the basis of the read direction information received from the original reading apparatus (10 or the like).
