PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase an efficiency for a mounting operation while facilitating the mounting operation of a protective bush by using a hygroscopic swelling rubber layer and also reduce the size of a bush mounter. SOLUTION: A protective bush 5 in which the hygroscopic swelling rubber layer 16 is formed on the outer peripheral surface at the portion corresponding to at least the inner peripheral surface of a branch mouth 4 is mounted into the branch mouth 4 of a distributing water pipe 1. A locking part 12 projecting to the radial inner side is formed on the inner peripheral surface of the branch pipe part 2 of a branch joint A fixed onto the distributing water pipe 1 at the portion corresponding to the intermediate part or the proximal end of the protective bush inserted into the predetermined device position of the branch mouth 4. A locked part 13 stopping the release and movement of the protective bush 5 at the predetermined position in contact with the locking part 12 from the branch axis direction Y and a recess 14 for mounting and dismounting which, when the protective bush 5 is positioned at a predetermined phase relative to the branch pipe part 2, allows the extending therethrough and the movement of the locking part 12 in the branch axis direction Y are formed at the intermediate part or the proximal end of the protective bush 5.
