PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the solidification of ink and the like, and to decrease power consumption in a non-printing mode. SOLUTION: This driving circuit 1 is for driving a head 2 which ejects a liquid droplet from a nozzle, provided in such a manner as to correspond to a piezoelectric actuator 22, by having an analog driving signal supplied to the piezoelectric actuator 22. The driving circuit 1 comprises: a waveform generating circuit which generates at least a first analog driving signal for ejecting the liquid droplet from a nozzle, and a second analog driving signal for vibrating the liquid level of ink in the head 2, and which selectively outputs either of the analog driving signals; a comparator 12 which outputs a digital signal by pulse-modulating the analog driving signal; a triangular wave generating circuit 25 for generating a triangular wave as a switching signal; a digital voltage amplifier 13 which amplifies the digital signal by switching so as to supply the digital signal to the piezoelectric actuator 22; and a frequency-variable part 24 which switches between switching frequencies, in accordance with a frequency selecting signal corresponding to the analog driving signal.
