An oil trough for motor vehicles with front- or all-wheel drives comprises a cast upper part (1) with a drive axle through guide in one piece and a flange-connected lower part (6). One long side of the upper part has through holes for screws to connect a front axle drive and the other long side has holes for screws by which an axle-bearing block can be attached. The upper part is case-shaped with a largely open under side and has cross stays in the open regions connected to the sidewalls.
