PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To machine a screw rotor whose surface is coated with resin in a screw compressor with high accuracy. SOLUTION: In manufacturing the screw rotor of the screw compressor, a machining rotor 30, which has the same shape as a screw rotor 1 making a pair with a screw rotor 2 to be machined as a machining object between a pair of screw rotors 1, 2, is provided, the surface of the rotor 2 to be machined is coated with a resin layer, and the rotor 2 whose surface is coated with a resin layer and the machining rotor 30 are engaged with each other and rotated.
