A self-molding permanent agent having improved storage stability is provided to perform shaping to the desired hair without hair-shaping apparatus due to self-molding properties, and inhibit deterioration of the permanent agent by preventing phase separation through addition of locust bean gum as a stabilizer. The self-molding permanent agent having improved storage stability comprises (a) a reducing composition containing a reducing agent and a sugar compound selected from algine, carrageenan and sugar derivatives thereof, (b) a molding composition containing a divalent metal element capable of inducing molding by combining with the sugar compound, and inducing molding by combining with the divalent metal element, and (c) a softening composition containing a softening agent selected from inorganic acid, organic acid and acid salt thereof, and mineral, and dissociating the combination of sugar compound with divalent metal element, and further comprises locust bean gum as a stabilizer.
