摘要 An optical unit and an image scanning device including the same are provided to improve scanning performance and implement a compact size by placing a reflecting mirror receiving light through the first optical path to a lower side than other reflecting mirrors. A light source(22) irradiates the light to a document side. A plurality of reflecting mirrors(31-34) form the plurality of optical paths(L1-L7) by receiving the light reflected from a document(D). An imaging lens(25) forms an image of the document on the final optical path formed by the reflecting mirrors. An image sensor(27) is arranged to an imaging position of the imaging lens. At least seven optical paths are formed between the document and the imaging lens by the reflecting mirrors. The reflecting mirror receiving the light through the first optical path formed by the document is arranged to a lower side than other reflecting mirrors. Total length of the optical paths formed by the document and the reflecting mirrors is longer than 250 millimeters.
