<p>There is a problem that a delay is caused in signal processing by exercising control so as to cause amplitude peaks in a transmission signal to fall in a prescribed range. A transmission apparatus for conducting wireless communication makes a decision whether a specific pattern which causes a peak exceeding a predetermined amplitude range to be generated in frequency characteristics of a transmission signal is included in a transmission code sequence for forming the transmission signal. And the transmission apparatus selects filter coefficients which prescribe a band limiting factor for the frequency characteristics of the transmission signal, on the basis of a result of the decision, and conducts filtering on the transmission code sequence by using the selected filter coefficients.
