Windscreen post and method of manufacturing said post

The post (10) has a longitudinal body wall for delimiting a surface intended to be oriented towards the exterior of a vehicle. A longitudinal drip molding receives a windscreen (12) of the vehicle, and is pressed behind the body wall. The molding has a slope defining a longitudinal side, of the molding, that is integrated to a longitudinal side of the body wall. Another slope delimits the drip molding`s inner surface in which the windscreen is intended to be supported. The longitudinal side of the molding is connected by overlapping on the longitudinal side of the body wall. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a windscreen post.
