A driving connection (DC) (3) makes driving force/torque available in a driving motor (DM) (1). A braking connection (BC) (4) makes a braking force/torque available in a braking device (2). The DC has a drive shaft (5) to link a component to be driven and to be driven by means of the DM. The BC has a brake shaft (6) to link a component to which brakes are to be applied. An independent claim is also included for a driving mechanism for an adjustable function element in a motor vehicle with a drive unit and a spindle-spindle nut gearing downstream to the drive unit.
