A CLICK MECHANISM (4) OF A ROTARY ELECTRIC COMPONENT (1) COMPRISING A ROTATING SHAFT (2) WHICH CAN BE OPERATED TO TURN A ROTATING PLATE (5) WHICH IS ROTATABLE AS ONE BODY WITH THE ROTATING SHAFT (2) AND HAS A PLURALITY OF PROJECTION-DEPRESSION PORTIONS (5A) ON THE OUTER PERIPHERY, AN ENGAGEMENT MEMBER (6) WHICH ENGAGES WITH, AND DISENGAGES FROM, THE PROJECTION-DEPRESSION PORTIONS (5A), A METAL SPRING PLATE (7) FOR ELASTICALLY PRESSING THE ENGAGEMENT MEMBER (6) INTO CONTACT WITH THE PROJECTION-DEPRESSION PORTIONS (5A), AND A HOLDING MEMBER (3) FOR HOLDING THE SPRING PLATE (7).
