<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound having a potassium channel opening activity, especially a BK (or Maxi K<SP>+</SP>) channel opening activity. <P>SOLUTION: The compound is represented by formula (I) (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are each a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydroxy, a cyano, a nitro, a carboxy, a 1-10C alkyl or the like; R<SP>4</SP>is selected from a -COOR<SP>13</SP>, a -CONR<SP>14</SP>R<SP>15</SP>and a tetrazol-5-yl; R<SP>5</SP>and R<SP>6</SP>are each selected from a hydrogen atom, a hydroxy and an alkyl or the like; X is selected from a hydrogen atom, a 1-10C alkyl, a 2-10C alkenyl and a 2-10C alkynyl).
