PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing wearing articles which is highly flexible in designing. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to the method for manufacturing wearing articles 10 which are formed into a T-shape by superposing a waistline member Ws on a back part Cb of a main body C of a diaper integrally configured with a front part Cf for covering a torso on the abdominal side of a wearer, the back part Cb for covering the torso on the back side of the wearer, and a crotch part CP for covering the crotch of the wearer. The method for manufacturing wearing articles includes processes of conveying a strip-shaped elastic sheet W, stretched in the longitudinal direction L, in the longitudinal direction L, while stretching the elastic sheet W in the longitudinal direction L, of producing the waistline member Ws by cutting the elastic sheet W into a piece of a prescribed length, of conveying the main body C of the diaper in such a manner to place the front part Cf and the back part Cb of the main body C along the flow direction L, and of placing the waistline member Ws on the back part Cb of the main body C by rotating the cut waistline member Ws by 90 degrees.
