The invention relates to a charge redistribution circuit (2) for an energy accumulator (1) comprising several accumulator elements (4) that are connected in series. Said circuit comprises several charge redistribution control units (5) for monitoring and charge redistribution purposes, with which a respective energy accumulator sub-group (3) of accumulator elements (4) is associated. The charge redistribution control units (5) take the energy used for their own supply from their respective associated sub-group (3) and are supplied with a voltage that is greater than the voltage of the individual accumulator elements (4) and smaller than the voltage of the energy accumulator (1). The charge redistribution circuit (2) is configured in such a way that each individual accumulator element is monitored and if necessary, the charge is redistributed (4).
