A disc recording and reproducing apparatus is provided to save a power button forming space and a power indication lamp space and allow a user to easily search a power button. A disc drive is contained in a body. A front panel(30) is combined to the body and is formed as a front external shape. A PCB(Printed Circuit Board)(80) is combined to a rear of the front panel(30). A tact switch is formed on the PCB(80). The tact switch controls whether to supply power. A light emitting element is formed to be adjacent to the tact switch. The light emitting element emits a beam. A power button(60) includes an actuator, a spread lens, and a feeler part(62). The actuator has a rotary structure and moves in a direction mutually different from the tact switch. The spread lens receives the beam emitted from the light emitting element and converts a path of the beam. The feeler part(62) receives the beam from the spread lens and displays the received beam to the outside.
