<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide aqueous ink which excels in dispersion stability and has high color development in plain paper, and furthermore an aqueous pigment dispersion for the ink. <P>SOLUTION: The aqueous pigment dispersion comprises one or more (meth)acrylic copolymers (B) obtained by polymerizing a polymerizable monomer composition containing not less than 95 mass% one or more polymerizable monomers having solubility of not more than 5 mass% in the presence of particles of a (meth)acrylic copolymer (A) containing a pigment. The aqueous ink uses the aqueous pigment dispersion. A method for producing the aqueous pigment dispersion comprises a step (1) of impregnating the particles of the (meth)acrylic copolymer (A) containing a pigment with a polymerizable monomer composition containing not less than 95 mass% one or more polymerizable monomers having solubility in water at 20°C of not more than 5 mass% in the absence of a surface active agent and a step (2) of polymerizing the above polymerizable monomer composition inside the above particles of (A) in an aqueous medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
