PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and manually adjust the position of a lens provided on an optical path between a light source and rotary deflectors and to improve productivity. SOLUTION: In an optical scanner, light from the light source 70 is made incident on the rotary deflectors 41a and 41b via the lens 61, the optical path of the scanning light deflected and scanned with the rotary deflector is changed vertically upward or downward and directed to a photoreceptor, thus the photo receptor is irradiated with the scanning light. The optical scanner is provided with: a lens holding member 62 which holds the lens; a base substrate 100a which supports the lens holding member movably under the base substrate; an operating part 63a operated by an operator; and an adjusting member 63 which moves the lens holding member by the power supplied to the operating part while supported by the base substrate, wherein the operating part is provided on the upper face side of the supporting member.
