PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for washing a tank capable of surely washing and removing a magnetic foreign substance produced when in manufacturing the tank out of the inner of the tank. SOLUTION: Magnets 26, 27, 28 are mounted at openings of an oil supplying hole 17 formed in an outer wall 12 of the tank 11, an oil amount sensor attaching hole 19, a drain hole 22 and the like; a washing liquid 29 is charged in the tank 11; and the tank 11 is sealed. In this state, the tank 11 is swung and overturned with a swinging-overturning device 43 to attract the foreign substance in the tank 11 to the magnets 26-28. Thereafter, the washing liquid 29 is discharged, and the magnets 26-28 attracted with the magnetic foreign substance are taken out from the tank 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
